Pitch Report according to previous Records:
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad features a batting-friendly, flat pitch with consistent bounce, making it a high-scoring venue where 200+ totals are common. Early movement is rare, and the dry, often hard surface is excellent for batting throughout, though it can assist spinners in the middle overs.
Official Live Pitch Report:
Pitch report | Nick Knight and Simon Katich: 62 meters, 68 meters square boundaries. Pitch number 2. It's a bit like Jekyll and Hyde. Since 2025, twice the team batting first have scored less than 160. But then, on three occasions, the team batting first have scored 245-plus. But I look at this wicket tonight, and I think we both agree, this has got plenty of runs in it. Rock hard, not a blade of grass in it. But the thing I want to highlight is the surrounding pitches. They're really abrasive. Dare I say it, like sandpaper. So, let's look out for the last bit of the innings, maybe 3 or 4 overs, that ball might just tail a little bit at the back end of the innings. What about the bowlers? What can they do? They'll get some purchase potentially with the older ball. So I think it'll skid on with the new ball, and that's where it's going to be dangerous in the power play. High scoring powerplay, might just slow up a bit when they start bowling cutters into the surface. Maybe takes a little bit of spin, but generally a very, very good batting surface. Who would be a bowler anyway? Runs for fun, we think.
